Chocolate Souffle

Dark and intense, rich and light all at the same time. Chocolate souffle is a luxurious and decadent dessert, never failing to woo the tastebuds. For me, a well baked  Souffle is the ultimate show stopper, simple but stunning to the eye and to my palate. I always use 80 % dark chocolate for the intense deep  chocolate flavour.  There is no doubt  that this is one of the most temperamental dessert but with a little love and care, you will be rewarded with a amazingly light and fluffy souffle. Soft gooey interiors, well baked top with  the edges slightly crunchy, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and if you want to be even more extravagant, feel free to serve with some brandy sauce.

A chocolate souffle uses very basic ingredients, what turns this into a phenomenal dessert lies in the technique. A lot of people get intimidated at the thought of baking a souffle but it is one very simple dessert to make and wow your family and friends.

Buttering and sugaring the ramekins well is crucial for the souffle to rise

Wipe the rims of the ramekins clean to have that neat collar when the souffle rises

Follow these simple steps and go ahead and bake this decadent dessert.
